Release time: 2024-11-15

The 23rd Havana Cigar Festival has concluded successfully, and according to tradition, a cigar party (Gala Dinner) will be held on the last night. There were music and dance performances that night, and more than 1,200 distinguished guests gathered together to taste the latest cigar "Partagás Linea Maestra" (Partagás Linea Maestra).

Among the many distinguished guests at this party was Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canay. He was also present to witness the birth of a new record at this party: the auction price of a cigar humidor hit a new high.

Since 2020, the Cohiba cigar humidor has exceeded the 1 million euro mark, with a transaction price of 2.4 million euros, and has maintained an upward trend every year. Until this year, a Cohiba cigar humidor was sold for 4.2 million euros. This cigar humidor recreates the tradition of Fidel Castro's early cigar festivals and bears the signature of current President Miguel Diaz-Canai.

There were also auctions of other famous brand humidors at the same venue, including H. Upmann (€1.8 million), Hoyo de Monterrey (€980,000), Romeo. Romeo y Julieta (€1.2 million), Montecristo’s humidor set celebrating Dupont’s 150th anniversary (€440,000), and Partagás (€2.6 million). The total auction transaction amount of this party was 11.22 million euros, all of which was donated to the Cuban public health system.

The party ended successfully with a musical performance by the Boney M. group and dancing celebrations by the distinguished guests.
